THE TASTE OF CREATION
The most beautiful inspirations rarely come from a single moment.
They are built through encounters, travels, and emotions.
A career in international relations led Princess Fawzia to travel through many Mediterranean countries. Always accompanied by her sketchbook, she observed the architecture, materials, the movements of artisans, and those everyday objects that tell the story of a civilization better than long speeches.
Her return to Egypt marked a decisive turning point. In contact with local artisans and creators, she rediscovered a living heritage where craftsmanship is passed down from generation to generation. A realization then became clear: heritage only has value when it continues to inspire the present.
A CHILDHOOD BETWEEN TWO SHORES
Some stories begin with a place. Hers begins with a legacy.
As a child, Princess Fawzia discovered Egypt through the tales of her grandmother, Queen Narriman. Amidst memories of palaces along the Nile, family traditions, and court recipes passed down with affection, a deep attachment grew for a country that would forever nourish her imagination.
Her father, King Fuad II, furthered this discovery. To soften the years of exile, he regularly took her to the Department of Egyptian Antiquities at the Louvre. Together, they gazed upon statues, frescoes, and ancient artifacts, long before a first trip down the Nile at the age of nine finally brought those images to life.
Long before becoming a source of artistic inspiration, Egypt was, for Princess Fawzia, first and foremost a matter of family, legacy, and emotion.
GROWING UP BETWEEN CULTURES
Growing up between Paris, Switzerland, Rabat, and Monaco means discovering that every culture has its own way of expressing beauty.
Throughout her studies, her travels, and her interest in Mediterranean civilizations, Princess Fawzia has developed an eye sensitive to architecture, craftsmanship, and traditions.
Her sketchbook became the natural extension of this curiosity.
