The Gaze of Princess Fawzia

"Jewelry is, for me, a way to extend the emotions that places leave within us."

For Princess Fawzia, each creation is born from a dialogue between memory, architecture, and travel. Through Nilazur, she transforms the inspirations that have accompanied her since childhood into contemporary jewelry, designed to reveal both style and personality.

From the banks of the Nile to the lights of the Mediterranean, symbols, natural stones, and craftsmanship come together in collections where every detail tells a story.

THE TASTE OF CREATION

The most beautiful inspirations rarely come from a single moment.

They are built over time through encounters, travels, and emotions.

A career in international relations leads Princess Fawzia to travel through many Mediterranean countries. Always accompanied by her sketchbook, she observes the architectures, materials, the artisans' gestures, and those everyday objects that tell the story of a civilization better than lengthy speeches.

Her return to Egypt marks a decisive turning point. In contact with local artisans and creators, she rediscovers a living heritage where skills are passed down from generation to generation. One thing becomes clear: heritage only has value when it continues to inspire the present.

A CHILDHOOD BETWEEN TWO SHORES

Some stories begin with a place. Hers begins with a legacy.

As a child, Princess Fawzia discovers Egypt through the stories of her grandmother, Queen Narriman. Between memories of the palaces along the Nile, family traditions, and the court recipes she lovingly passes down, a deep attachment is born for a country that will continually fuel her imagination.

Her father, King Fouad II, extends this discovery. To ease the years of exile, he regularly takes her to the Egyptian Antiquities department at the Louvre. Together, they admire statues, frescoes, and millennia-old artifacts, long before a first trip on the Nile at the age of nine finally brings these images to life.

Long before becoming a source of artistic inspiration, Egypt is, for Princess Fawzia, first and foremost a story of family, legacy, and emotion.

GROWING UP BETWEEN CULTURES

Growing up between Paris, Switzerland, Rabat, and Monaco means discovering that each culture has its own way of expressing beauty.

Through her studies, travels, and interest in Mediterranean civilizations, Princess Fawzia develops a keen eye for architecture, craftsmanship, and traditions.

Her sketchbook becomes the natural extension of this curiosity.
