Childhood
During her childhood in Paris, Fawzia discovers, within the family collections of books, paintings, lithographs, and black-and-white photos, the golden legend of the Egyptian royal family, the beauty of the sultanas and Circassians, as well as the modernity of the Egyptian princesses, wildly beautiful and influential women. Her grandmother, Queen Narriman, tells her about life in the past at the palaces along the Nile and the Mediterranean. She prepares and teaches her the court’s culinary recipes while passing on a love for Egypt.
Her father, H.M. Fouad II, the last king of Egypt, also shares his passion for the country with her. To ease their exile, the young princess spends memorable hours at the Louvre Museum with him, where she marvels at and carefully studies the treasures and aesthetics of ancient Egypt, in preparation for a long-awaited trip on the Nile that finally takes place when she is 9 years old.
Studies
From her French mother and grandmother, Fawzia inherits her Parisian chic and artistic sensibility. At the Janson de Sailly high school, she dreams of sailing again and again on the Nile, her mind filled with arabesques, animated frescoes, and mythical stories. After growing up between Paris, Switzerland, Rabat, and Monaco in this enchanting atmosphere, she earns her degree from Sciences Po Strasbourg and a master’s in Cultural Project Management at Paris VIII. Fawzia then dives into linguistic and anthropological studies of the Mediterranean at INALCO.
In Spain, she studies History at the University of Granada and begins learning jewelry design.

Une carrière dans les relations internationales conduit Princess Fawzia à parcourir de nombreux pays méditerranéens. Toujours accompagnée de son carnet de croquis, elle observe les architectures, les matières, les gestes des artisans et ces objets du quotidien qui racontent une civilisation mieux que de longs discours.
Son retour en Égypte marque une étape décisive. Au contact des artisans et des créateurs locaux, elle redécouvre un patrimoine vivant où les savoir-faire se transmettent de génération en génération. Une évidence s'impose alors : le patrimoine n'a de valeur que lorsqu'il continue d'inspirer le présent.
UNE ENFANCE ENTRE DEUX RIVES
Career
A career in international relations allows her to travel through many Mediterranean countries, always carrying her sketchbook, meeting vibrant cultures. Then, by a twist of fate, she is able to return to Egypt and decides to work there in the field of sustainable development for a year.
It is at the National Assembly, as a parliamentary assistant to a great man, Deputy Mayor Daniel Spagnou, that Fawzia practices diplomacy, which will be useful to her when she joins the Monegasque diplomatic corps, sent to Berlin and then to the Monaco Pavilion at the Milan World Expo.
Today, the founder of Nilazur lives with her husband and their two children between the two continents.
