How did the Nilazur concept come about?
"At the turn of the 2010s, I had the immense joy of moving to Egypt to work there. I was deeply moved by the splendor and grandeur of Egyptian civilization, the richness of its culture, the diversity of its regions, and the depth of soul of the Egyptians. Contact with creators, young talents, and master artisans sparked in me the desire to promote their creations on the international stage. I wanted to gain solid professional experience before embarking on entrepreneurship."
How did the Nilazur by Princess Fawzia concept take shape?
"The years passed. At the turn of the 2020s, with the birth of my two children, I better understood the positive impact I wanted to leave. This renewal was an endless source of inspiration to design and create my first jewelry collection, ‘Land of Egypt’, through which I express my love for Egyptian civilization.
"My creative energy and passion for natural stones drive me to design jewelry every day, enhancing beautiful amulets that we craft in Egypt.
I also wanted to support Egyptian craftsmanship more broadly. That’s why I surrounded myself with experts and leaders of social enterprises who share my values and appreciate the beauty and creativity of authentic Egypt. I started by highlighting the work of a few master artisans through our collaborations for our first collections in home decor, ethical fashion, and jewelry. I have met so many wonderful people along this journey.
That’s how the brand Nilazur by Princess Fawzia was born, and today I am delighted to share with you the skills and traditions of Egypt."
