This wildly ethnic box is handmade from date palm leaves and goat leather by a group of craftswomen living in a remote oasis in Upper Egypt, near the Red Sea, called Shalateen. Known for their skills in natural palm leaf and leather weaving, this artisan community continues nomadic traditions by sitting in the shade of palm trees to bring to life the previously dried palm leaves.

Each piece is unique, crafted with care and passion, making it a true artisanal treasure. This box is not just an object but a reflection of a culture and know-how passed down from generation to generation.
