A jewel born from a childhood memory, handcrafted in the heart of historic Cairo.

The story of the medallion

On a first trip to Upper Egypt, Fawzia, at nine years old, discovers the tomb of the royal craftsman Pachedou, in Deir el-Médineh, near Luxor. On its walls adorned with protective symbols, the Eye of Horus fascinates her. This ancient gaze will never leave her.

Years later, in Cairo, she sketches the design of this medallion: a circle evoking the Shen, the Egyptian symbol of eternity, at the center of which is placed the protective Eye. The jewel comes to life in the workshop of a jeweler from the Khan el-Khalili souk, whose family has been passing down their expertise for generations.

The symbol

The Eye of Horus — or Oudjat, “the one who is whole” — has been the symbol of protection, healing, and clairvoyance for 5,000 years. A discreet and timeless power.
