Obelisk - Object from Egypt

Description:

Unique handcrafted pieces – Three colors available: deep blue, turquoise, orange-red

These elegant obelisks pay tribute to one of the most powerful symbols of ancient Egypt. Entirely hand-carved in the workshop of artist Salah Sayed in Luxor, these sculptures embody the meeting of sacred architectural form and contemporary aesthetics.

Carved from steatite, a soft stone extracted from the Egyptian Eastern Desert, each obelisk reveals subtle shades after firing. Valued since Prehistory — from the Grimaldi Venuses to pharaonic amulets — this stone combines softness, history, and durability.

• Deep blue (Lapis) mysterious and celestial

• Turquoise, bright and soothing

• Orange-red (ochre), sunny and energetic

Symbolism: in Egyptian tradition, the obelisk represents the sunbeam frozen in stone, a link between earth and the divine.
